                    Relax – Body and Mind

                   Relaxation, both physical and mental, is an excellent coping mechanism.


                   Try some of the following:








                                         Visualise or daydream.

                   Imagine yourself enjoying a pleasant experience such as an overseas trip, or

                   simply lying next to the pool or on the beach, soaking up the glorious sunshine
                   – whatever gives you pleasure!









                                 Take short trips / holidays.


                   Instead of taking all your leave at once and going away for two or three
                   weeks, schedule two – or three – shorter breaks instead, or long weekends

                   away. Shorter holidays are better for relieving stress than longer ones, even if

                   they add up to the same amount of time off!





                                         Try relaxation techniques.


                   Here’s one. Try it now! Breathe in deeply while you count to ten – slowly. Now
                   breathe out, doing the same thing. Do this for about fifteen minutes and see

                   how the tension has lifted!









                                         Learn to pace yourself.
