Many people become overwhelmed by the urgent (whether important or not)
and end up paying less attention than they should to the important. As a
result, most of their unscheduled activities end up in the two quadrants that
involve urgency, which are A and C. That means that the important tasks are
sometimes skipped or overlooked. Which quadrant would you say one should
allocate the bulk of time allocation? The answer is quadrant B where the
important tasks are tackled. This way of handling tasks will introduce a degree
of balance in an otherwise hectic schedule.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to prioritising, which we will deal with
later on in this section.
To understand the quadrants more clearly, let’s fill them with those things that
take up our time.
